Its been awhile since I updated this site. No excuses though its been a full on 12 months.
While doing some online searches looking for pizza base recipes (preparation for the wood fired oven) I came across an interesting idea for preparing and baking bread dough. I was intrigued by the search results so looked into it a little more fully.
Turned out to be a method for bread making that took about 5 mins a day without requiring kneading. I would point out that this is 'hands on' time and doesnt include proofing and resting the dough.
After repeated visits to the web site, watching the videos and reading the blogs I took the plunge and purchased the book.
First attempt created a loaf that was a little flat and had a soft base but the crust on top was crisp and the bread superb.

After emailing the author I modified the oven management a little and in went the second loaf. Instant improvement was obvious as can be seen in the next pic.

And when it was finished cooking it looked great.

Needless to say it didnt last long and was scoffed completely for lunch.
A few more minor adjustments and I will have another candidate for the wood fired oven.
My thanks to Zoe and Jeff for the new interest in my life.
