Well The Phone Did Ring and....

Well the phone did ring and Glenn answered to find a happy new Dad (Aaron) Anthea had given birth to a new little baby girl Zoey, weighing in at around 7lb 6ozs. (23rd June - I hope I have that right)

We understand there was a little drama with a very rapid labour and insufficient time to make the drive to the maternity home so an unexpected home birth and Aaron a little aphrehensive with the midwife only arriving about 10 minutes before Zoey made her entrance.  But the good news is Anthea and Zoey both well and Casey and Aaron really chuffed with her arrival.

Anyway abig welcome to the family for Zoey June.

We are going to see her in a fortnight when Anthea, Aaron, Casey and Zoey visit Auckland for Caleb's naming day.

Now to more mundane news like the weather. Not to be outdone by the Oxford branch of the family we can confirm Rotorua had a snowfall last evening. Ok I know it wasnt a blizzard and was only on the hills around the Rotorua basin but it was snow. And to prove it here is an untouched photo.

And it was still on the hills this morning but was gone by midday.

We finally had the rampent feijoa bushes removed from along our boundary after threatning to do it for some years. Found a tree person who would do the job at a good price so voila more light in the back yard.

We also had the large elm at the back of the section removed at the same time as it had grown more rapidly than expected and was fast taking over the back boundary.
So a few changes around the section. We will tidy the bare areas up over the next few weekends and hopefully have it ready to grass in spring.

Still loving the iMAC

All the news for now so will catch you all again soon.

Cheers &
